#OctTwtFest - Biggest Tweet-Up in Malaysia

#octtwtfest Venue and Goal

#OctTwtFest this year will be the biggest twtup event for Malaysia.  The twtup will be held on 22 Oct 2011 starting 3.00 pm until 12.00 am. The venue is at:

This is how the venue look like.

 According to the official website, the goal of the #OctTwtFest is : 

1. To gather at least 1,500 tweeps to attend the twtup
2. To put Malaysia on Map, and beat current Guinness Book of Record held by Ford, which is 1,149 check-ins at a venue for a twtup. 
3. To unlock the epic Swarm Badge (more than 1000 check-ins at a venue) 

Ah! Maybe if you never heard of foursquare you will not understand number #2 and #3 goal. Since I am not using foursquare too, i am not the best person to tell you about it. 

There will be various fun activities there. You can refer to the Schedule. 

I am not going

I am not interested in the concert, celebrity performance etc. However, from the given schedule, I can see there are special room for board games organized by #IHeartMalaysia which include many board games including chess and Dam Haji (Checkers). Meeting fellow tweeps while playing chess or especially Dam Haji will be great, right? Remembering  myself of 20 years back 'spending time' playing Dam Haji for hours at Kedai Kopi (Coffee Shop). Haha! 

My friend @HafeezHana a photogtrapher, is asking me whether i will be joining the #OctTwtFest or not. Sorry, I will not be joining it.  I prefer to spend the weekend with my family. 

Suggestion for Bloggers

My suggestion for those netreprenuer and bloggers who want to enjoy twtfest. Don't just go there for the fun purpose, make a cool bussiness card with your twitter handle and blog or website, this is the good time for you to do some 'offline marketing'.

Will these #twtup achieve the 1,500 number of participant target?
