From what I see, those who are labelled as traffic hunter are those who like to update their blog with latest hot news, sometimes misleading headlines , sometimes creating controversy with the intention to get more visits to their blog. I don't like to write misleading headlines, creating controversy and hate writing about XXX related post. However I do like to write and comment about latest issues happening around me.
I am a Traffic Hunter
If these posts can make me labelled as a Traffic Hunter, then I am a traffic Hunter.
Facebook Will be Closed 15th Mac is Hoax (339 page views)
Robbery Incident at Mamak Section 15 Shah Alam (195 page views)
6% Service Tax on Prepaid Reloads and Starter Pack (111 page views)
From my opinion, there are nothing wrong to hunt for traffic. Especially when you really want to write about the subject. If you take a look at the page views, the traffic are not bad too. =)
Hunter or Hunted
Actually, being a traffic hunter is not about hunting, its about being hunted. Make a good content, do some SEO, and people will find the post from Google, Bing, Yahoo, Twitter etc.
I agree with you. I dislike misleading title and irrelevant content in order to manipulate keywords to attract visitors. As a reader & frequent user of Google service, I found that it is annoying when the keywords I searched lead me to some crap. I wish for quality in blog posts, and I'm trying my best to write posts which are worthy for my visitors. Insha Allah.
